does each polyp have to be fed or does feeding one polyp nourish the entire coral? I have been searching and haven't found an answer other than they like to eat.....which seems to be true...I just put a small bit of krill on one of the polyps and it took it in....any help is appreciated....thanks.....Dave

I believe that favia share nutrients, and while feeding will help it probably isn't necessary.

i dont spot feed mine and has been very happy for a few months. i do dose coral food ocassionally but mostly use cyclop eeze. i just domp it into the flow and let it spread through out the tank. the water of the cup you put the froozen kind in to thaw turns red so there are some good filter feeding juices in there...your fish will eat most of the big pieces but the red juices will be consumed over time by the corals. i notice everyone (corals feeding a few minutes after feeding cyclopeeze. most of the corals that have feeding tenicles will extend them at this time. of course flow is the important part. favia doesnt like too much but you want it in an area that some current will bring food to it.
heres a good info site on them
