I just received a frag of what is supposed to be ReefGen Pink Baby's Breath Favia. This is what it currently looks like. Do you think that it will ever recover?
looks a little faded but will probably be ok. The ReefGen folks use the star shaped frag plugs so it most likely did come from them. I have a reefgen cyphastrea frag that when it arrived looked all washed out but after about a week it started coloring up nicely . Give it time

The seller chose to refund my money on that one. It was one of five in the order, the rest look great
Favias are pretty tough from my experience. I have a couple that I in essence broke off their mother colonies as little chunks of tissue maybe 1/4 inch round that have grown into 3 inch balls in about 18 months.
Do me a favor if you will, and report back on how it does. I have a similar issue with a new favia and I have no feel for the timescale needed for it to recover its color. If yours colors up before mine I'll know to start tweaking other variables.
