I've had this coral for a while but I've never gotten an ID on it. It has a very powerful sting...it's gotten a head on my frogspawn and a small part of my monti cap.

Maybe a acan sub enchinata. If so, then yes they do pack a punch. I would keep any coral 5 or so inches away from it.

Thanks Creetin! I have quite a bit of clearance around it but I've had a couple of coral fall off the LR above before I got them epoxied into place. Hopefully everything is secure enough now

I agree with Creetin. I have an acan enchinata that looks similar to that.
