i'm looking to start a dosing system for my aquarium. i'm sick of manually adding calcium and alkalinity.

anyone have any recommendations?

I use a Grotech tec 111. It has been installed 2 weeks and I am impressed. Its fully programmable and has 3 peristaltics.

I use an Aqua Medic SP-3000 on a float switch with Limewater. It's cheap, effective and doses Alk and Calc.

Be careful with them.. some people never have issues, but a few have reported them shutting off in such a way as the rollers are open enough to allow siphon. If you pump uphill thats not an issue though.

I just use a peristaltic pump on a timer to add lime water at night. I do have to add my two part manually, but I don't need to add much, so it doesn't bother me.

What's the minimum amount LM III can dose per day?

Specs say 250ml per min.... thats 15000ml per hour... thats 360000ml per day. If my conversion is right, thats 95 gallons per day.

The LM3 will pump in 10 ml units (you set the total amount per day) and will then squirt/pump it in small quantities something like 70 times per day to match the total you set.

Here is a good place to see them and buy from.

The manual says 150ml day is the minimum, however, Scott said 50ml, but to double check accuracy at that small of a dose by letting it run into a measuring up for 24 hours. I did, and my unit was accurate. Now I only have to refill the two part containers once a month.

Opps I misread that... he did ask for min not max :) Oh well, now he has both.

I concur with that as well... I dose 130ml of alk and 100 of ca per day and its always been spot on when I tested the output volume for the day.
