My two tangs (sm. sailfin and med. hippo) nibble, but never really do any damage. I trimm 2-3 times weekly but can never get the root.....so it just keeps on comming. I'm goin nutzo tryin to keep up with it all......and tryin not to break corals with my big 'ol gorilla sized mits gives a whole new meaning to the phrase " a bull in a china shop"


HELP ME!!!
 
May be high phos. When is the last time you did a H2O change?:D Don't worry about breaking off any corals, I'll find room for those.:lol:
 
I just tested my water yesterday.....0 phos....2-4 nitr.....plus I only run my halides for 6 hours a day. I use phosban sponges and have been using ro water to do my water changes lately....about every other week, since the last meeting. This is an old problem that I'm just now posting about.
 
Your phosphates read zero because it is getting used up by the algae. I had fun with that algae on all the zoas I got from you. Just have to keep scrubbing with a toothbrush. Have fun.
