Feather Duster question...

Well I bought a feather duster yesterday and tucked the tube under a rock to hide it a little. This morning the FD closed and went into the tube to never return. I bought a couple of frags today and as I was putting them in the tank I figured I'd try to move the FD in case it was getting too much flow. As I was pulling the tube from underneath the rock, the tube came out and the FD stayed. I head they will create a new tube, but my question is...is the FD ok under the rock or do I need to get it out? Thanks.

Leave it where it is. They can regrow a new tube within a couple of days under the right conditions which include not stressing it. If it doesn't like the location it can move by itself to a better one.
