featherduster looks injured, please help.

is there anyway to help it? why did it happen?

Not exactly sure but it should be fine. They can lose/regrown their crowns at will. Even something simple like a restriction in water flow (dirty filter) may cause it to react differently.

thanks for the help, strangely enough its fixed itself! amazing that is.

I don't think it was hurt if it fixed itself that quickly. It was probably just half-retracted due to nervousness about something that touched it.
