Going with the new meeting format, Matt wanted me to announce the first of many exciting topics for the upcoming year! Rumor has it there will be a demonstration on fragging corals right after!


February 23rd ORCA speaker: Justin Zimmerman, ORCA member and SeaWorld Aquarist.


Presents: Coral Sex! Project SECORE, Coral Reproduction in Aquariums.


Learn about the fascinating world or coral reproduction in the wild how it relates to you and your home aquarium. Through photographs, travel with the SECORE team of Professional Aquarists to Puerto Rico for the annual Acropora Palmata spawn. Discover methods used to successfully raise the delicate coral larvae to adulthood! Can these methods be used to help play a role in aquaculture or restoring the threatened coral reefs?
