The next Rockford Reefers meeting will be held at the home of Eric Osar on Saturday February 5th at 1pm in Cherry Valley. Eric has a 400g linked tank system employing:
180g DT with 4" DSB, 3x250MH, 2x96 PC antinic
55g planted tank hosting breeding Bangaii's, currently holding eggs. Hoping to also introduce a pair of filefish, which I am currently learning about.
29g lagoon type tank, very simple shrooms, etc hosting a variety of smaller fish.
29 Semi-cryptic/semi-exposed non-photo tank, coral only.
35g Cryptic zone,
10g fry tank holding first batch of fry (100% alive at 14 days *crosses fingers*)
20g rearing tank
40g sump, underskimmed and small fuge.
Eric will show us his tank setup and we will also have glass tank drilling demonstration. We have a 40 gallon breeder tank that we will put a hole in for a 1" bulkhead. At the end of the event we will give the tank away to one lucky attendee. We also plan on have a discussion on lighting your aquarium. We would like everyone to share what lighting they are using on their tank and discuss the pros and cons.
Please let me know if you are planning on attending and I will send you the address.
