feeding a zebra moray

alright, i've had him(i call it him cause i named him Bender and for lack of knowing if it's a guy/girl :) ) for a month now and he's really cool! he's actually out quite often, and is eating well. i've been feeding him frozen krill, and he eats it like there's no tomorrow. i want to add some variety to his diet, and hopefully help out my wallet. that frozen krill isn't cheap, and he eats a lot. what do you suggest? i'm going to the supermarket to see if i can find some shrimp, clams, squid, etc. i was just wondering what other people feed theirs.

I have a goldentail and a snowflake. I feed them squid, shrimp, scallops, krill, whatever frozen uncooked seafood at the grocery store that looks good. I only give them krill occasionally. They're fat and happy.

mine's almost 4 feet long, when I got it, about 7 or 8 years ago, it was under 2 feet.

mine only eats formula 1 cubes and krill if yours will eat shrimp and squid from the grocery store go for it and vary the diet

yeah, a varied diet is what i'm going for. so far, all mine has eaten is krill. if he doesn't like anything else, oh well, at least he's eating :)

Zebras are Crustacean eaters. Do not feed him silversides. I either buy live shrimp and fiddler crabs at a bait shop, or I buy my 2 Zebras frozen shrimp at the supermarket.

Shrimp tails are not as good as whole shrimp.

Find a asian market near your house. You can get all kinds of whole seafood for cheap prices.

I have fed cuttlefish, snail meat, squid, octopus and all other kinds of stuff.
