I have 2 tank bred black and white clowns that are around 10 months old. They hang out in a small corner of the tank and I'd like to get them to change territory for a couple of reasons. First, my two RBTAs are on the opposite side of the tank (55g) and I'd like to see if they will take a liking to them, and second, my 3 other fish, a yellow wrasse and 2 pajama cardinals all hang out on the other side by the RBTAs and I'd like for them to all eat in the same general area to simplify things when I'm away from the tank and need someone else (or an auto feeder) to feed my fish.
Assuming that the best way to accomplish this is to stop feeding them, how long is enough time to try and get them to seek out the food on the other side of the tank before I give up and feed them again? And is the opposite side of a 55g too far away for them to notice the food in the water? Should I put it just out of their reach and slowly try to get them to move over? I obvioulsly have no experience with this. Thanks!
