Feeding Baby clam

I bought a small (2") clam from my LFS this weekend. So far all is well. I know i need to add plankton to its diet since it is so small. The LFS owner told me to put it in a cup of very green water plankton 3 times a week. My question is what is every one using for this ( bowl, type of plankton, etc.). I had an idea to just float it in the main tank in a styrofoam cup while feeding it. Also, will Kent zooplankton and microvert be a good source of plankton or should i go buy a product like DT's?

I would go with the DT's. Just remember to burp your clam if you remove it from the water at all, and do not leave it in the bowl for more than 30 minutes at a time.

Just my 2 cents. Others will have theirs!

no problem, it is a phytoplankton that is sold in some LFS's and online, you can read more about it here.

I think marinedepot carries it.

I have been given the idea to use a 2 little bottle top to cover over the clam and add the Phyto inside this "dome" therefore i dont need to remove it from the tank, but the clam still receives its needed nutrition.

Thanks

Geoff
