feeding brain

You can feed it any marine based meat, really. I feed all of my LPS. They like it and look better(imo) after being fed than they do if they aren't fed.

Would it be feasible to say that feeding newly hatched brine shrimp is acceptible or would it be best to use a finely processed blend of meaty foods?

any kind of meaty food should be fine, live brine would be hard for it to take as they would just swim away. You kind of need the food to rest on the brain for a few seconds for it to grab it and pull it in.

You can also feed it Formula 1 pellets, the real small size. Our brain will eat them. We have had ours for a year now and it has probally more then doubled its size. If you have cleaner shrimp it can be a little bit of a hassle to feed it because the shrimp will go and steal the food right out of its mouth. You can take a plastic 2 litre soda bottle and cut it in half and place it over the brain when you feed it.

I have a war coral that catches live brine shrimp; I would think the feeding tentacles of a brain could catch live brine shrimp too.
