Feeding duncans - every polyp?

I can't seem to get food to every polyp on my new duncan - is this necessary for the corals survival? I believe I have read that it is with a sun coral, and that the duncan is in the same family...

No its not necessary for the Duncan. I only spot feed mine once a feed and don't get every polyp. It mainly gets what floats by when I feed the fish. I started with 1 polyp and have over 7 now so it seems to be doing just fine without getting every polyp.

The sun coral does need every polyp feed because it is not photosynthetic, it has no zooxanthella like other corals.

just feed a few all lps share food only feed a couple heads plus if you dont want to feed you dont have to feed at all I know people who dont feed there corals at all and they grow and thrive.

Ok, thanks. I have no fish at the moment, so I'll at least feed occasionally! :)
