Feeding garlic for a stubborn clown?

I have read a couple places to mix garlic in the food to entice feeding?

Do I feed the garlic or am I to just soak the food in with garlic to give an aroma?

Also how much is needed and how much time to soak if that is what you do?(I can't imagine you need much)

I have heard of people putting a fresh crushed clove of garlic in their sump every week or two.
I use "Garlic Guard" by Seachem. I soak a couple of drops on my fishes pellets or frozen mysis shrimp.
Although they are all pigs (7 fish in the tank), they go nuts when galic is added to their food.

I have had great success using garlic - primarily to help overcome ich in my tangs and clowns. I have been using Kent Garlic Extreme because it is convenient. I just put a few drops on the flakes or nori and let it soak in for maybe a minute. It does seem to stimulate the appetite and the ich always goes away.

I had a pair of clowns that wouldn't eat well I shaved the food off a frozen cube for about a month before they would eat.

Thank you for the replys. The info helps alot but now I wonder if it would be better to add it to the sump or soak the food in it? I am going to look for the garlic supplement tho. Also my tank must be spoiled cause I shave the food for them every night from a frozen cube LOL.
