hey guys i have been interested in large angels for as long as i can remember and since being i have yet to own one of my own until recently, about a week ago i purchased a 6" emperor angel that has to be the best specimen i have seen for sale in a long time. he is very bold, alert and comes to the front glass whenever i am near. even bringing him home he seemed completely stress free didnt even hide when put into the main displayand began eating instantly. ok so here is my question/ concern most readings about this fish mention color loss due to poor diet and i want to keep my fish as healthy and vibrant as possible. those of you that have been successful in keeping large angels what do you feed and how often does a fish this size "aprox 6inches" need to eat. please share you experiences, knowledge and pics thanks.

Feed them two or three (better), times a day. Feed a variety of frozen and flake food, and also feed red and or green seaweed sheets on a clip or with a rubberband on a small rock a couple of times a week. Buy high quality foods that are vitamine enriched and maybe some frozen angel food with some sponge in it. I don't know if reef lighting helps their color or not. Lesley
