Feeding large LPS and anemones

I have a basketball sized elegance coral. I am not sure how to feed it. It seems to consume anything that gets stuck, but I am not certain if it really eats it. Last night I ate calamari, so I fed it the fins - pieces bigger than a quarter. Sometimes I drop tiny pellets. Either way, I have problems with fish stealing the food, and it being awkward to steer the food towards the coral. Anyone with a large anemone has to have the same problem.

Ideally, I'd find the ideal size food, and get some sort of pellet that sinks, and drop a bunch above the coral. The fish can eat what doesn't get stuck, but I think the pellets I've seen for sale are all too small. Any recommendations?

I am hoping feeding it more improves its color, growth, and possibly reduces the length of the tentacles (I looks like a giant bubble tip).

Basketball size? Wow! Whatever your doing now keep doing it. Don't worry about adding MORE food to the tank. JMO, GL.

There are wafers . . . New Life Spectrum makes some pretty good ones.

You could also try using smaller food through a turkey baster, and let the elegance catch it on a number of its tentacles. Fish and shrimp should get some, but maybe not all?

~Bruce, who doesn't have an elegance, nor really room for one to grow like yours has!
