New to the hobby, so I have a mixed tank of softies, LPS and SPS. I get mixed info about mixed corals from mixed books! I am really mixed up!
So...what are the feeding regimens out there? Are mine normal?
2 damsels, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 peppermint: few flakes of food a day to entire tank
SPS: nothing
LPS-individual feeding of mysis shrimp or pieces of fish once a week
Photosynthetic gorgonians--nothing
Rhodactis: 1 eats mysis once a week, others don't accept food
other mushrooms: 1 eats mysis once a week, others don't accept food
mixed zoos and buttons: feed mysis to buttons once a week, nothing to zoos
green star polyps: nothing
xenia: nothing
Guess I do feed DTs about every 3 days, ensure calcium and paramaters are fine, and add some vitamin supplement on occasion.
Every time I ask this question, I get interesting (and mixed) comments, just want to know what the norm is so I can keep the corals healthy.....YES, I do read up on the corals that I can identify, and I do my best to find feeding guidelines, but they are not always available.
Thanks,
