Feeding mushrooms....

So I have two mushrooms that we're given to me for free by my local pet store for buying a small candy cane coral frag. My tank is a month old now but the question I have. One has really grown in size and the other is still super tiny. I have been spot feeding with filter feeding coral food is this a good start for them to be spot fed? I'll post pics.

How long have you had the mushrooms in your tank. I know you said your tank is a month old, but how long for the shrooms? Some times it take a while for them to expand fully. I have tons of mushrooms and never spot feed them. Are they on the same rock? I can't really tell from the pictures. Same lighting?

I've had them in the tank 2 weeks from today. I know there not going to grow just over night lol but the purple one is the size of a quarter now or bigger and the green striped one really hasn't changed in size. Just trying to get a feel for the animal alittle better you know? So you don't spot feed those or anything? I have tons of pods threw the tank at night you can barley see threw the glass you think they munch on those?

be careful what you wish for..mushrooms are great for the newbe because they will grow and spread fairly quickly. although you dont have to feed them, I did a couple of times. just place a sm piece of food or pellet on their mouth and watch them close up their purse strings. they can grow under p.c. lights and are very undemanding. the downside is if you go on to lps or sps coral the shrooms can sting and kill just by touching them. I just took out a green fuzzy shroom today that was burning a purple monti cap. I have only red, lavender and green fuzy. keep them on their on rock so they dont spread. good luck
