Feeding my fishy

Ok, I checked my water on Sunday and it was ready for a fish

I picked up a damsel ( purple with yellow fin ) yesterday.
Acclimated him and put him in. He went behind all my rocks at first and was peeking out at me .

I tried to look up what all they eat and how much I should feed em but everything is so broad. I have some flake food that I got and read maybe some brine 2 times a week. How much flake should I feed him?

Just feed the fish the bare minimum. Some flake is good, but not nearly as good as fresh food is.

Brine shrimp are pretty much just filler. Unless they are hatchlings or have been gut-loaded they have little nutritional value.

I would get some of the good frozen mixes and feed just what it will eat in under 1 minute.

i wished i had never bought my damsels..thier mean an verry agressive..they have killed many tangs, an i thought it was my water or other problems.. nope it was the damsels..JFYI..
