Feeding pump for BK 250 ext

Up till now I’ve been feeding my BK 250 ext from a bypass on my Durso Standpipe. I’ve noticed though, that when switching off and on my return pump the Durso won’t work correct again. Since summer vacation is coming up and power breaks is not too uncommon I’ve decided to feed the skimmer with a pump instead. My question is: How many l/h should I feed the skimmer?

The recommended standard from most skimmer manufacturers is 1 to 1-1/2 times your system volume for a skimmer feed rate.
