Feeding Question

Wanting to ensure that all my fish get a appropiate amount of food... I want to know what to feed to ensure that everyone will be happy.

Fish: Currently have 2 Banggai Cardinal Fish, 1 Coral Beauty Angel, 1 Black Percula Clown, 3 Blue Chromis (2 are infant size) and one cleaner shrimp.

I currently do two feeds a day, one just a small shot of flakes into the water just before the lights go out. Mostly keeps the Chromis happy. The Angel may grab a few along the way too.

The second feeding is a larger shot of brine shrimp with a small bit of mysis shrimp mixed in. This causes everyone to go into the feeding frenzy. The least active of all the feeders are the Cardinals, they will feed, just not quite as intence as the rest of the fish.

I noticed a friend of mine feeds his tang, who is a less aggressive feeder in his tank with a peice of rock with alage mat elastic banded to it. With this be benificial to my tank, somthing I can put in before I goto work in the morning to get everyone through happy till I get home from work??

9 times out of 10 we overfeed our tanks as opposed to underfeed. Your tank can actually goes days in between feedings and although the fish won't be fat, their basic needs will be met. I would just feed once daily, however much they can eat in a couple minutes.

I don't think anything in your tank would eat nori from a clip like in your friends tank.

PS. Congrats on winning the big hocky game at the Olympics :) I'm a fellow Canadian turned American.

Haha, thanks. Kudos to the Americans though, no one expected that team to do any damage, and they scared every Canadian in that game.

But yes, on topic again. Thanks, Im just always paranoid, I think like most people though. I was just wanting to make sure that I can keep the tank as least stressful as possible and be able to feed both the faster aggessive fishes, and the slightly more passive fishes.
