Feeding rbta for max growth?

Back in 2000-2003 I worked for a lfs and we got a 5-6 inch rose anemone in from a customer on trade. I basically treated it as the store dead fish disposal unit. Feeding it both fresh and saltwater expired fishies. It grew to the size of a large trash can lid in about 8 months before it finally split. Even after the split the clones were still huge. My only real word of advice is be careful what you wish for. This anemone was in a 5' 100 gallon tank and basically emcompassed the whole left side.

Ok so where do I buy dead fish... Lol and if I do feed it dead fish like silversides or something, how often. My anemone is about 4 inches long

beware feeding silversides...do a search and you'll find good and bad experiences...

a 4" BTA should only be fed small meaty foods IMO...
I feed mine raw shrimp soaked in fresh SW and temp acclimated to match my tank...
I feed it an approx. 1/4" chunk of meat. nothing bigger than that...

I feed mine every day. Whether it be a squirt of mysis when i'm feeding my fish or silversides when I feed my carpet anemone or a mix of stuff when I spot feed my corals at night. It's a pretty varied diet, but I usually feed once per day.

I feed mine about 4 times a week. It pretty much gets what ever is thawed and my eel and puffer don't eat. Mix of krill, clams, squid, shrimp, and fish chunks. Never had a problem with it rejecting food.

No direct feedings here (just clownfish poop :)). These are also in a 135g tank with four 250W MHs and two 72" VHOs.

These are 3 anemones (one big, two smaller), with the biggest one basically outlined by the coralline algae circles on the glass.

IME whatever you feed needs to be in very small pieces. Mine grew very quickly on a diet of Hikari Jumbo mysis.

I feed every few days. I use bits of raw shrimp, clams, oysters, white ocean fish, squid, octopus or whatever I'm mixing into fish food that week. I usually have a bag of frozen bits in the freezer. Makes for good chowder too. :)
