Feeding Reef Chili

I want to feed reef chili to my Goni, Acans and sps. I have overflow with sponge and sump, do you stop the sump when you feed it? Do I have to turn off lights and shut down the sump to feed corals, to get their polyps to come out?

Acans are one of the only thing that eats reef chili for me. My sps, even with lights out and polyps open do not try to grab it at all. Acans gobble it up, along with my torch and frogspawn.

Turn off the skimmer, powerheads, leave just the return on and use a turkey baster or syringe to feed the chili mixed with some water.

I feed my acans whenever their feeding polyps are out.

I use Reef Chilli for my tank with good results. I do not directly feed my corals with it however. When I go to feed my fish (cube of mysis) I put in a scoop or 2 in with the cube while it is thawing out. The scoop I use is the one that came with the bottle of chilli.

I do turn my powerheads off while feeding (I put them in feed mode on my hydor wave controller)..

The results from using reef chilli are as follows...
My zoa's love it! Great growth and the colors have become brighter since I've started using it 2 times a week.
My fungia loves it! Havn't noticed any growth difference but the colors have become brighter.
My 3 candy cane pieces love it! I've noticed 2 new heads of growth and the colors have gotten brighter as well.
My fish absuletly LOVE the stuff.. My firefish and clown chase down the larger pieces as well as going after the mysis.

I have only been using reef chilli for about 3 weeks now give or take and I only feed it 2 times a week.. I feed my tank during the day usually between 10am and noon..

I have a mixed reef, and I use it in a cocktail of Reef Chili, Cyclop-eeze, Reef-Roids and Oyster Feast, I make for the tank. I target feed with the pumps off, then turn on the circulation pumps for about an hour, before turning the returns back on. Some of the LPS will also get both mysis and pellets, i.e. Duncan's, Blasto's, Plates.
