It looks like it's possibly pinched mantle..I can tell you what to do as a last ditch effort to save him if you like. Actually, it is a known cure for this pathogen but it's just unnerving, at least for me it was. Get a bucket with fresh RO/DI water, match the temp, and add some PH buffer{alkalinity additive} I used a powerhead to circulate, or you could use an airstone. Place the clam in the water for 20- 30 minutes, return to tank. I did mine for 30 minutes..that was over a year ago. Nice pics.

heres a full tank shot, is kinda bare right now cause I sold 60% of my lps etc from the move, going mostly sps now...Still a little cyno on the glass from excess nutrients from being BB, the sand is new put in about 120lbs of quickrete premium play sand which is really white considering what it looked like in the bucket.

After being BB for a few months this is much more visually pleasing and hopefully will help with my nutrients

I would like the rock a little bit higher but I think its fine since I will have room to grow out and im running 2 400 watters so not to big of an issue, ill try and get a better picture the tank is alot brighter than that I just realized.

Ill try and get a pic of my new addition today, its a green with orange tips bubble im guessing its around 7" fully expanded, and for $30 I had to take it....i see this same coloration going for 80$ for 3"

love the lion. great looking tank

thanks! ive had the lion, clown grouper for around 2 years and the maroon clown and tang for a year. I like having predetors in my reef the only thing that stinks is my limited selection of inverts I can put in like shrimp etc.

I'd keep the rock like it is. Branching corals will grow tall and if you like fish, they will enjoy the upper area.

Personaly i like the low rock look, and after you get the corals it'll look like the top of a reef, where many big fish swim over.

thanks guys I really like how it looks to rather than a giant wall of rock......this BTA i got today is huge! I had no idea how big it was till i got home cant wait to see it with the lights on, i basically stole it for that price.
