Few RO questions

Before I get started I know some of these questions pertain to certain brands but I am asking in general/for the most part

For a ten gallon shrrom tank what size GPD should I get?
Are RO units hard to attach to faucets?
How much water do RO use? (I heard it takes 9 gallons of tap to get a single gal of RO)
Is the "left-over" water touched by the membrane?
Can anyone reccomend an online stoe that accepts money orders/check (or anything non credit card) that has quality RO units cheap?

You best value is a RO unit that utilizes the 75 GPD Dow Filmtec RO membrane. RO units are the same physical size and same cost no matter if they are 10 GPD or 100 GPD. The 75 is you best bet as it will give you the very best final water quality available and do it in less time than a 25 or 50 GPD unit, about half to two thirds the time, or even less, in fact.
Generall and RO wastes 3 to 4 gallons for every gallon it makes. If this is a concern to you use the waste stream to water the yard, plants, do laundry, fill the pool etc. It been through both a sediment and carbon filter and is good for about any use you can think of. Yes the waste stream is what flushes the membrane to keep it clean and working properly.
I would suggest calling or e-mailing vendors including:
www.airwaterice.com
www.purelyh2o.com
www.buckeyefieldsupply.com
and
www.thefilterguys.biz
All should be able to help you out.
