Fighting over food

I have a orange and white and black and white clown. They got along great when I first put them together and they're ok together up until feeding time. The orange and white one picks on the black and white one and makes him back away from the food. Do you ever have to separate when feeding and I'm wondering how to do that? I hope it works out. I thought they were going to be a good pair. I have a Clown Goby fish, too, but she doesn't bother it.
