Lol what the heck! I don't want to start a new thread, but could I also add a pair of sexy shrimp and an emerald crab to the 10 gallon I will be starting? It'll have mixed hermit species.

Meh, I'll answer here anyway, I personally don't think tiny shrimp, crabs, and tiny tank all mix very well. Skip the emeralds and no problem! Crabs are oppertunistic and will eat whatever they catch if they're hungry.. little tank means less for the crabs to scavenge and emeralds are more than mobile enough to catch a sexy shrimp.
