I wanted to send out a special thanks to my bro's Danny, Richard and Chris for helping me out with the 180 move!! Picked her up from San Diego 4rth of July weekend and brought her home to LA. It was fully stocked as you see it in the picture below.
It been a long journey these past couple weeks... Turned out the over flow had some serious leaks and I had to glue it with silicon. Problem is the tank has to be dry and it takes 24 hours to cure!
After having initially set up the tank after the move and after having given the corals a chance to catch their breath, I drained the tank and took everything out this past weekend. Yesterday I placed everything back in. I had one casualty... a nice clam... what a bummer...
Anyhow, here are some pics of the fruits of our labor although I have a lot of work left...
Tank Shot:
The moving crew:
I still need to nishing making the Canopy and I still need to transfer all the contents of my 120G over to the 180.... WORK WORK WORK!!!
Here's a shot of my living room and not one but two tanks!
Lights are off on my 120G because of the blasted heat. I hooked up a chiller on the 180. I set up a closed loop that runs through the chiller in the basement. I used a X-Gen pump. They are loud but I have a PC-10 pumping through a chiller and up about 12 feet and I have plenty of flow through a 4 foot Locline spray bar!!
Here's a better pic of my 120:
Now I just need to move everything over to the 180... I keep telling myself it will be worth it once I am finished!!!!
