Finally today...after being depressed not knowing if my clowns had paired I saw my smaller one start having the "seizure" movements right by my other...SUCCESS!! I was so sad I almost took them back to the pet store to exchange for a pair they had there...cause I saw them shivering at each other for 5 minutes straight.

Observing the smaller clown start spazzing out is a good sign that the clowns are starting to determine dominance over one another. After the seizures and tail nipping finish off your two clowns should start pairing up. It'll take some time but that's definitely a positive sign.

Well, they sleep together at night and don't fight at all...I just haven't been able to determine if they're a true pair because during the day they stay at opposite ends of the tank..like they are now.

I have 2 ocellaris and they do that spastic move all the time. I was wondering what that meant. I was worried something was wrong the first timeI saw that!

It happened shortly after introducing the 2nd clown to the tank.

COOL! The largest one I have had for about a year. the second one I have had only 5 months. So, are they a pair? They are together 98% of the time. The smaller one may stray to the other end of the tank, but not long before he goes back home.
