Finding a corpse.

If you believe you may have a dead fish in your tank, but can't find it what do you do? Do you guys rip apart your tank trying to find the body? Or hope the cleanup crew goes to town and there is nothing left? I ask because I havent seen my YWG in 2 days, not even during feeding time. And I don't want to rip out tons of live rock and stress the tank. All my levels are still the same as they were 4 days ago, 0ammonia, 0nitrites, and 15 nitrates. If he is dead, he hasent began to rot yet.

I would let the clean up crew take care of it. In the meantime, I would still test your params. Have enough water ready for water changes if need be.

my goby has disappeared for 4 days just to pop up again later so I don't know how worried you should be yet, but like everyone said just keep testing to keep an eye on it.

I lost my yellow watchman in the preskimmer/overflow box of my skimmer. He was in there for a month! I thought he had died weeks ago.

im just saying but you said ripping out tons of live rock?? you have a 10 gallon nano how much rock can you have in there??

I've had to fish outa couple of fish that found the overflow box. Mostky the algae eaters. Glad I didn't get a cover for it or I'd never would have found them. My crabs would find anything that would die.
