Are there ever moments you just decide a coral is just not going to get it together in your tank?

It's on it's way back down...just letting it come down naturally with regular RODI top offs...I went ahead and cut out Kalk for a bit and started diluting the ATO with RODI. I will go back to low Kalk doses once everything comes back into normal range. My Calcium had risen over 600 and Alk was near 16dKh.
The small toadstool is having polyps come up finally. I did raise my Kessils up off the water by about 4 inches and lower the intensity as well. I think my lights may have been too intense as well.
The one pictures is the one I am trying to see if we can bring it back or not. I have had it the longest and it went from a purple color to this greenish purple color over the last 8 months.
