Finger Mullet in a Reef Tank

Has anyone had any experience keeping mullet in a reef tank? Sps, LPS, and a few softies are in my tank. The mullet I've caught are only an inch or two long. I know they are mostly herbivores, so I wouldn't think they'd harm anything. Yes I know they jump, lol.

Had a friend that had a few they kept the sand immaculate but grow pretty fast never harmed any corals except dropping sand on them

Why do you want to keep them in the tank? I catch them in the cast net and use them for bait when I'm fishing down in the inlet. They aren't particularly striking to me.

My 4 year old daughter caught them in a dip net and wanted to keep them. I have a little algae on my my return pipe and figure they can help keep it clean.

Once you add them to your tank you should not release it back in the wild.

I wasn't planning on it. A local school here has a large tank setup with local fish in it, I figure I'll take the fish to them if they live long enough to out grow my tank.

I had a bunch when I kept grouper in reef. They did good job cleaning algea off rock and glass.
