It took a few weeks but I finally finished (almost anyway) the remodel of my dining room. :)

Anyone want to come over for dinner?

Most of the fish from the first tank will be going into it. I'll add a few more later on. The 210 will just house one or two dovii.

I love it "Bubba" is just staring at the new tank saying my bags are packed Dad when do I move. :D
It's either that or spam, I can't afford anything else.
Bruce do you know what ever happened to Harry Lynch? (I think that's his name the "Gauley Gourmet") Last I heard, years ago, he sold his business and was competing in spam cook-off competitions. :eek2:

As for Bubba, he's already moved. I took him to Ohio to meet a guy from www.monsterfishrescue.com. He took him to his 1,500 gallon tank for the time being. He will eventually be in the Cleveland Metroparks museum.

Here is a video of him in his new temporary home.

WOW Bruce that's freaking awesome. He looks so happy already. I hope they'll tape him again in the museum do you know how big their tank is?
Wonder if it's karma they named him Bert.

We use to be booth mates with Harry...got some really good recipes from him too. If you hear any about him let me know.

Oops, meant he will be going in the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, not museum. Anywho, the tank he will end up in is 22,000 gallons. It is going to be great for him.

Yes, it was mine. I rescued it a year or so ago from WVfishguy. He had rescued it from someone else. I hated to get rid of him but I knew he would be much happier in a larger tank than I could provide.

Here is a video of the tank. Still have to do some "decorating" once I find some Malaysian driftwood and some rocks.

Click for video.

Also, I just finished plumbing in the reeflo blackfin 3600 for the closed loop providing flow for the ugj system. It does an awesome job, absolutely no waste or food laying on the sand.

I wanted to give an update on the tank. I have done quite a bit of sound proofing. I insulated the stand, added rubber couplings on the input and output of both pumps, and put foam board under both pumps. It has made a huge difference and I can now sleep at night. My wife keeps telling me that it is quiet enough and to leave it alone. It sucks being anal retentive and wanting things perfect. :)

I also added some lights to the stand which make things much easier to work on under the tank. Here is a picture of one of them.

Also, I ordered some Malaysian driftwood for the tank today. Hopefully I will get it by the weekend so I can boil it then let it soak for a couple of days. If I don't get it by the weekend it probably won't go in the tank for a month or so when I can get around again without crutches.

I also ordered a 40 pound bag of crushed coral. I plan on adding that along with another 50 pound bag of pool filter sand to the tank. The tank needs a little more sand to cover the ugj system a little better. Also, my ph is staying around 6.4, I'm hoping the crushed coral will raise it to closer to 7.0. The fish are doing fine already but I think they may be a little happier with a slightly higher ph.

Also, here is a current picture of the tank.

I have crushed coral if you want it. It was in my cichlid tank before I changed to salt. It is in a trash bag in a box in the building. You can have it all if you want. Let me know.
I could not find my driftwood the other day, that is why I never got any pics.

I'll have to see if I need anymore. I certainly appreciate the offer. Unfortunately after next Wednesday I won't be able to go anywhere for a few weeks so it would be a while before I could come pick it up. Knee surgery number two is on Wednesday. I had the right knee operated on 2/13, now it's time for the left. Woohoo!!!! :(

Have you already bought the bag of it? There is probably somewhere between 50 and 100 lbs I have. I can meet you this weekend or something if you want it. Just let me know.

I appreciate it. It shipped yesterday though. I had $10 credit at bigals so I went ahead and had it shipped.

ok that cool. if you need it though just let me know and its yours. It is out in the building so it is not hurting me and isnt going anywhere.
