Finnex digital heater contraol help

I just got my new Finnex digital heater control with 2 heater tubes.

I just installed it and the temp is not changing from 77 degrees. I have 2 other temp readers that are reading 71 degrees.

Anyone else have trouble with these?

think it is defective?

Can you reset the temp reading?

Any reason why it is not changing?

Do you have 2 tubes hooked up to the one controller unit? I have the pre-digital version (2 of them to control 2 tubes) and think I remember reading that you could only hook one tube up per controller. It was related to the heating elements being wired in parallel versus in series.


Sorry I don't have a better answer for you. Try calling the vendor where you got them (or even Premium Aquatics- I've bought a lot from them over the years and have always been willing to answer questions on the phone if it wasn't a sales call.

I did call Premium Aquatics and left a message. Have not heard back.

I do have two tubes which I plan on hooking both to the one controler. No reason why this would not work. for now though, I only have one tube hooked up.

I woke up this morning and the temp has changed, but it is still way off the actual temp
