I have a 24g nano reef setup with 25lbs of rock. I have a pair of small fire fish (about 1 1/2 inches), I was considering either a six line wrasse or a small Starry blenny. Any suggestions or concerns would be much appreciated.

Two firefish will not make it long term; the dominant one will intimidate the other until it starves to death. A six line wrasse will intimidate firefish.

Yes, but not necessarily about the 2 firefish. I personally have kept pairs of firefish for a few years tohether on a number of occasions, and know of a few other success stories aswell, but it is not always easy to do. One reason it is difficult is that males will not tolerate other males and females do not tolerate other females and old fish dont tolerate new ones. They are not sexually dimorphic, so we(humans) cannot tell the difference, and we dont even know if they are born as males or females or are transitional hermaphrodites. Because of this it is difficult to have success with firefish prs.
I do completely agree about the sixline being too aggressive.
