Firefish freaked out

So for about a month and a half now, my firefish has been in seclusion. He always hid a good bit, but would come out for feedings and such. I added a coral beauty and within a week or two of adding it the firefish is rarely seen. I see him pop out every once and a while, but is spooked either by someone coming to the tank or the CB swimming around.

I have never seen the CB act aggressive towards any other fish, nor has there been any sign of bullying in the tank.

So just a few minutes ago, I'm sitting on the other side of the room and I hear noise over in the tank. I look over to see the firefish scream across the tank, jump out and hit the screen over it, back in and dart around the tank for a couple seconds. Now he's just hanging out in the front of the tank, which I haven't seen him do in quite some time.

What gives? Any ideas?

Thank goodness for a covered tank, else I'm pretty sure he would have made a record long jump across my living room.

Firefish can be extremely timid. Mine has been hiding for a year...drives me crazy. Yours may calm down after she gets used to the CB but she could be like mine and just come out to eat.

Mine's really weird. Some days it'll be out all day just chilling over it's cave. Other days it will only come out to feed if at all.

I would try a few of them & see if it comes out to hang w/ his buddies ... I always found it in my overflow until one I didn't ...
