first anemone, initial steps

I had not planned on getting a nem yet, but here I am with one, a very small one.
It's late at night and I just acclimated it slowly and have it in a QT box in my tank for the night with some rubble - hoping it attaches to something I can move into the tank tomorrow.

I will cover my tunzes with pantyhose when I remove it from the QT box tomorrow. If it has not attached to a rock I will need to figure out how to weight it down so it doesn't fly around the tank.

Advice needed for a nem noob.

only a rookie with these things but when I first got my BTAs then moved one that split, I just gently held it to the rocks where I wanted and they grabbed on probably within 15 seconds.

that's good to know. Right now it is hanging on to a piece of egg crate (it was in someone's frag tank) but if it lets go and comes out from inside the grid then I'll have a shot at that.

135 with 50 sump
Setup December last year
I have high flow areas and low flow areas in the tank, 2 Tunze 6095 (? can't recall but they are rated for this size tank)
Alk 8
Cal 420
Sal 35
Nitrate 0 (chaeto farm)
Phos ULR 3 - 10 (I change out GFO when it hits 10)

No fish but lots of SPS and LPS

What kind is the question. The guy I got it from didn't know, and it has been tiny sized for 2 years. It's dark red with neon green tips. It's the size of a half dollar and it's tentacles are pointed and about an inch long. I don't think it's a BTA. I plan to post pics for hope of identification tomorrow.

I just spied on it with a red flashlight and it seems to be moving onto a piece of rubble. tentacles are extended and seeking.

oh yeah, and LED lighting GHL Mitras. I can get up to a couple hundred PAR at the sandbed if I need it. Right now I think they are set for around 100-150 at the sandbed.

And its a deep sand bed.

sorry for the blurry pic - I need to take some more once the lights come up

naw, we covered it in the other thread "ID Challenge"
consensus is majano. I'm going to put it to the test in a QT tank.
