ok so I got my first challenge. Got a sweetheart deal on an older hamlton ~4 yrs. 2x 175 with two vho. Heres the prob the guy said it was 13" amazingly my tank is 13" front to back exactly. The tank is not drilled and I definately want to get an overflow working on it, with a sump.
So I have got to do some creative thinking on how to get the hood either up off the rim of the tank (that will prob help with heat issues anyway). It's one of those hamilton aluminum enclosures, black, with the fan built right in. you know the ones. Any ideas on how to work this. The ceiling above the tank are dormered ceilings so I'd rather not screw around with hanging it plus this hood wasn't designed to be hung so gotta lift it somehow. legs... maybe there is legs available for this sorta thing that I can fit the enclosure with... I dunno.
