Ok as some of yo knwo my tank is on day 6 cycling I notice what I can aaume is a worm in the sand white with red in it when it moves Is that ok ,and better yet where the hell did it come from?

and finally I am being told to feed the rocks what do i get them
Steak and cheese hamburgers.LOL

don't worry about the worm. Probably came from one of the rocks. You don't need to "feed" the rocks or anything else right now. Let 'em sit for another week or so then test your water.

Ok I took off the canister filter removed the sponges and the things that look like canneloni left the carbon and put it back as requested by you guys. I will use it for flow now.

I am also using my fluval 4 plus for flow no filter empty. Is it ok to have them going different directions? and is it have to be a certain power setting they are blowing pretty hard?

What did you use to start the cycle? A piece of shrimp will do the trick. If you already did that, you should be fine. That is the only "feeding" of the rocks that is necessary really. Is it ok to have what going different directions? The intake and outflow? If that is what you are talking about then yes it's fine. I'm not sure how big the fluval 4 is, or how powerful, but in a 75 gallon I'm guessing it's fine. Do you have any powerheads in there yet?

No Powerheads yet was asking that next what i should get any name or type how many? any links to one.

As far as water I meant if I put poweheads on different sides of the tank and had them blow at each other.

Ok the worm is now half under a rock and has fuzz all around it should Ijust leave it? I used nothing for the cycle except the rock I have heard Shrimp mentioned twice can someone explain on what they mean and what i should buy.

I purchased the bermuda skimer today By recommendation it is in the mail.

No need for the shrimp. To cycle you need ammonia, and there will be plenty of that coming from the decaying matter on/in the live rock. You should not add anything. Most likely that is a bristleworm. Good detritus feeders. Leave it be. You will soon start to see more and more life in your tank. Take a look at the Koralias. look at getting 2 of the #3s

With no powerheads the worm is dead anyway. No oxygen in the water. I think you need to rethink your plan. This would save you lots of money . This is a step by step hibby and if done right can be very satisfying for many many yrs.
