Ok, so I purchased a factory refurbished Nikon D90 the other day, and it arrived yesterday evening. I spent most of last of night just messing around with the new gadgets... This afternoon, I took it outside and got a few photographs of my dog out playing in the snow. I have a second dog, but she just hung out in the garage in protest of the wind. You can see her in the second picture lol. I can't figure out for the life of me, how to properly expose snow. Either the snow is fine and the dogs are too dark, or the dogs are properly exposed and the snow is blindingly white. I try to shoot in spot metering, but that can be difficult when the dog is running around like a maniac. I use a cheap CPL from Ritz, and it helps a bit... are there any tips? Either in shooting or PP?? I have LR3 and CS5...
