I've been planning and collecting equipment for about a year and finally jumped the getting started hurdle late July, completed cycle about a month ago and here's where I'm at...
3 Koralia 1050 power heads
AquaC Remora Protein Skimmer
4 Bulb T5HO Light Fixture with 2 ATI Blue Plus Bulbs and 2 Generic Actinic Blue Bulbs
70 lbs of Marco Rock and 15 lbs of Live Rock For Seeding
60 lbs of Live Sand
I haven't added anything other than a Clean up Crew and an Emerald Crab, although I have a few hitchhikers which I'll add pictures of for help with more specific identification.
My current parameters are...
Nitrates - 0
Nitrites - 0
Ammonia - 0
Phosphates - 0
Salinity - 1.025
Calcium - 460
Alkalinity - 11dkh
Temp - 78
PH - 8.2
I have a small issue with Diatoms which I've been told is normal and there has been a small bloom in what I think is Hair Algae growing over the Diatoms. Below are some pictures hopefully someone can help me identify some of the critters I currently have in the Tank...
