Very nice. How big is the tank? Are you planning on adding more live rock? Just curious how long you've had your mandarin in there?

I think you need a few more pieces of equipment under that stand.;) I'm curious as to how you have your skimmer and UV filter hooked up. From the pix it looks like you have the skimmer output going to the UV. Where are you pulling the water for your skimmer from?

Joshua123 - I have the pump (positioned inside the sump) from the skimmer running the water through the lifegard sterilizer and then into the skimmer... then the skimmer dumps back out into the sump.

Joshua1023 - hose clamps, good seals, and a little bit of luck.... skimmer works better actually after i hooked it up this way. Go figure.

That's Crazy. If I were to bet on it I would have bet against it working at all. Do you use the stock pump that came w/ the skimmer to pump it through, or did you upgrade?

Josh - it is actually the stock pump believe it or not.... however i am thinking about an oceanrunner to try to increase bubble production even more. I have always had problems with the stock pump, it is way to sensitive to changes in water level.

Very nice, bassettmd. :) the sailfin might need a new home once it gets bigger, but should be fine for a while. Just a good reason to upgrade, right?... :D

have you done the super skimmer needlewheel mod with fishing line? makes a HUGE difference. If ya need to know how to do it let me know.

Paul

Junior - i am not familiar with that mod... is that similar to the meswheel mod? Please fill me in on how to do it because i would love to get some more efficency out of my skimmer
