First time fraging mushrooms, is this correct?

This will be my first time fraging mushrooms and this is my plan:

1. Cut the ' shaft' about 1/2. This will leave the shaft attached to the rock and a disc. (now I have two)
2. Cut the disk, ensuring that I cut through the middle (now I have three, the shaft and two half of the disc)
3. Put the half in a container with some rock rubble and cover it with a mesh (veil).
4. Wait 3 weeks to open the containers and then superglue the rock rubble to a plug.

Do this sound about right? Any changes?

How much would it be a fair price to ask for a Red about a quarter size? You can barely see them on the pic below:

That sounds like a good plan to me. I personally dislike the jar-o-rubble method and usually use bridal veil to attach a shroom frag directly to a rock or plug, but that's just my personal preference

Those are a pretty sweet color red, so I'd see if you can get $10 - 15 each first, then drop your prices from there if there's a lack of interest or raise them if there is too much interest. You might want to see what people would trade you for them. Often you can get more (value-wise) by trading than by selling.

i agree with both statements. Seems like you're on the right track with both. on a trade note, i know this isn't allowed here, but maybe we could trade red mushrooms for greens striped ones. I have them fragged and not mounted right now. I have about 15 fragged. I'd love to get some red shrooms in there.
