First time softie keeper! There's a spot on my toadstool leather. I'd help?

Hi everyone!
This is my first salt tank and I purchased a toadstool and got it home and found a yellowish spot that I'm worried about. Here's a picture

Any help would be appreciated.

Are you talking about the spot on the stalk? If so, nothing to be worried about. FWIW, I don't get concerned about toads until they start turning black. Some regularly close up for days/weeks, causing undo alarm.

The razor caulerpa could become a problem, though. It can grow out of control, so keep an eye on it. I've dried out entire tanks worth of rock to get rid of it... Others have had luck with tangs eating it, but the only thing that's worked for me has been rabbitfish (but they can turn on coral without notice;)).

+1 , I wouldn't worry about the spot on the stalk either. The toadstool looks good. Congrats on your new purchase.

Yeah the toad stool looks fine. Don't let that macro algea take root in the tank. Put it in a sump with a cheap plant light if you can.

I've been trying manual removal, I've got it contained to that rock and a spot on the back wall. I cant do a tang, because my my tank is too smal (only a 29/30 gal) and my clown pair would handle a rabbitfish I don't think.

Thanks for all the input, the coral is still opening all the way up and looks happy sans that one spot.
