What i am excited about is that my parents are putting these on canvas for my 18th birthday. If any of you guys ever want any pictures on canvas, RITZ camera is great. For the month of august every order you do with them is 50% off. So i got them put on 8X10 canvas which are originally $30 but during august i got them for $15 which i thought was a pretty sweet deal.

If it was up to me I would get the first pictue on a canvas due to the fact that it is whimsical. IMO the backdrop is a little sad.. but other than that, I think you have a great camera, great angles, and amazing photos. Hope your 18th B-day goes well for you

Sorry if I missed something but what camera are you using? Those are great photos. I love diving too and I know how hard it is to get good photos underwater. Bravo!

Sorry if I didn't mention what camera I'm using. It is a canon eos rebel xsi.

Thank you all for your kind compliments and helpful critiques. I hope to become a lot better with time and experience.

You have the right camera, the technique. It is up to you where you go with it.

So i took another look at my dive photos from the caymans. There isn't much to do when your'e stuck home alone with food poisoning.

Does anyone have any criticism sat to how I could make these animals look more interesting or better my composition? Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Thank you so much steve. Those are sure to come in handy since i am going with my local dive shop to wakatobi in 2013. A long way away but i want to learn as much as i can.

I've done a bit of underwater photography, and I've never taken a shot as good as the ones you've shown, so take my advice with a grain of salt. Shooting from below the subject at an angle is generally thought to make for more striking images than from the top. Also, there is a lot of love for wide angle (particularly fish-eye) lenses even though it requires you to be right on top of the subject. That's the only constructive thing I can add to the composition.

Wakatobi is one of the premier locations in the world. Used to be a pain to get there with the boat trip segment, now just inconvenient. You will LOVE it there.
