First torch

How is it looking I bought it last night and fav it some time to adjust my only concern is the head on the front left is very small and it looks to me like the base has very little flesh is it good how it is thank you for all replys

it's looking better my o ly concern at this point is that the heads on the right are light in color is this an issue? I don't think they are bleaching due to these only being pc bulbs at the lfs they were under radions

After a few days in my tank, my gold torch lightened in color, turning to a pastel yellow. Other than that it appeared healthy. After four-five months, it suddenly reverted back to its rich, golden color. I have no idea why it lost its color... low nutrients perhaps. With the cyano on your sand bed, I suspect you have some nutrients that will help your torch regain its color. Also, I find that unhealthy torches recede at the base first, just below the head. Your torch has a healthy amount of flesh below the heads, so it looks good to me.

Radions are much more powerful than PC, they are very much bleaching due to the change in lighting. PC may be enough lighting but it will take time for the torch to adapt.

side note. Id increase the flow in ur tank or do red slime remover to get rid of the cyno bacteria
