First visit to Reef's Edge!

I have one word for this visit....AMAZING. Loved the top down coral tanks. The livestocks look very healthy. I can't believe I postponed this long to visit it.

Mark, the owner of the store, was very nice (so was the employee, didn't get his name tho). He was supposed to close at 7, but I got there like 6:50 or so and we discussed the hobby till 8.

The corals was beautiful. He turned off the pumps to the coral holding tanks, so I can have a better look. He also turned off the MH and on with the actinics and needless to say...my jaw dropped to the ground. The store may not be huge, but it has everything and more, than a huge store can offer.

I know it sound like I am advertising his store, but that's just my experience with it...I am very impressed with the store. If you are serious about this hobby and haven't been there, you have to check it out. Both thumbs up from me! IMPRESSIVE!

Sorry for the long post. I have no one (that cares) to share this experience with but you guys and gals. :)

Reefs Edge is an amazing salt water fish store. They are the perfect definition of a local fish store (LFS). If you have $10 only and want to buy something they owner will work with you. They accept trade ins and the owner is really friendly and willing to talk and hang out. For anyone that hasnt checked it out it's a must!

Craig, Reef's edge is over at 441 and west of orange dr., 2nd right. It's in that plaza, you can't miss it. Have fun. :)

Gary,
I agree with you, Reef's edge is a really nice store, with a breathtaking center display, I find Mark and His wife to be very nice people, I started frequenting this store a while back and for some reason I stopped, I think it had to do that most of the livestock I was interested in was not for sale, I need to go back and check them out again!
Thanks for the review,

Rogger

Hey, Rogger, yeah, I love the center display too. About the corals, I think he would frag whatever you need for you. There were a frag I wanted, but it was sold. So, he said he would frag one for me from the mother colony and I will pick it up in a few day because I want it to heal a little before I shock it with the water chm. change. I am not sure if you want a whole colony tho.

you must have gotten there just when I left.
I also made reefs edge my number one store to go to.

mark and his wife are the most helpful people and very honest.
their new employee (sorry, also forgot his name) seems to be on his best way to become another great member of the team.
he's also very knowledgeable and helpful.
I have to give reefs edge 2 thumbs up.

I've said all I will say about the owners of this store in previous threads :mad2:

He does have a nice store though.

i cant wait to go check it out, i think the store i've been going to is starting to take too many liberties with there prices and overcharged me, and havnt been as nice to me lately....

Hello! anyone have the phone number or exact address to this place I would like to visit it sometime after work this week. I work In Davie off of 595 and pine island rd.

thanks!

I came there on Tuesday, whichs is one of those days that they are supposed to be closed. They explained to me that they were there awaiting a new shipment of fishes from Africa I believe.

VERY nice place! Lots of corals that were not for sale... such as the BIG hammers, frogspawns and so on. Lots of rics, cin. polyps, just a lot. So far, this place has the most zoos I have seen so far.
