Fish die corals thrive.

For some reason any of the fish that I put in my tank seem to die. All of the corals are fine. Have mainly sps and lps all of which are doing great. Fish have lived for months then out of nowhere die. Either that or they get ich and die. All of the parameters are fine. Running a uv on the system and have a fuge. Things that have died, tangs, chromis, blennies, clowns. Any ideas that would help would be great. :mad2:

If you've had a fish with Ich then most likely you still have Ich present in your aquarium. You need to leave your tank fallow (fishless) for at least 9 weeks to starve all the remaining Ich out.

Also there have been fish in the tank for longer than 9 weeks without ich on them would it still be hanging around in the tank? Also what about the fish that dont have ich and still die?

The thing is you don't always see Ich. Some people report going months or even years without seeing Ich and then all of a sudden BAM! Ich everywhere! The reason for this is a fish's immune system is sometimes able to fight it and even mask any symptoms. But it's only a matter of time before something unexpected happens (power loss, temp swing, fish fighting, etc.) that stresses all of your fish out, their immune systems weaken and that's when Ich is usually capable of wiping out your tank.
