Fish for a 75 gallon reef

Hey guys and gals,
I have a 75 gallon tank with 3 blue/green chromis and a maroon clown in the tank (none are aggresive AT ALL) my question is, what would be a couple of fish that you would add if you were me? I want something peaceful and not gigantic, i also want them to perform a job(eat algae, keep the sand clean or something else) :)
Thanks in advance
Zack
P.S. any questions that you need answered to help you out, please ask:)

how about some wrasse. fairy, flasher, chorus, halichorus. the list goes on. im sure within the family you can find one that will help out in the tank. or how about a kole tang. they eat algae.

any other fish depends on if they have to serve a function. there are lots of nice fish that may not eat algae or hitchhikers, but are very nice fish in thier own right. there are blennies, gobies, cardinals, pseudochromis, grammas, dwarf angels. it all depends on what kind of corals you have and what preferences you have.

The clown is bound to get aggressive at some point, so I wouldn't add any fish who won't be able to hold its own. I have a sixline and though they don't have great reputations for being peaceful, I love mine - he's active and fun to watch. There are several types of wrasse that you can keep in groups as well (ie: McKoskers).

I'd also second the blennies & gobies. You could do a pair of yasha gobies (or a goby/pistol shrimp pair), and maybe a bi-colour or midas blenny.

I do like the idea of either a kole or tomini tang as well, as your 'centerpiece' fish.

How big is the clown.. cuz theyre all sweet till they grow up.. and even if he is grown up... he owns that tank.. when you add a new comer.. he better be able to hold his own.. diadema, or neon dotty... I promise you if he isn't yet he will be evil

He is about an inch now, and acts like a dog, if i put my hand in the tank he comes and like cuddles in.
I'm still looking to add more fish while he is young(if he gets aggressive i will be moving him to my 30 gallon breeder: will become a species tank for him)

Please keep saying some active/interesting/purposeful fish:)

Thanks
Zack

I had a 90 gallon.

I had a Kole Tang and he was by far my favorite fish in my tank. They swim out in the open. Very active. They will "peck" all over your tank and eat anything left over. Plus, the purple color is beautiful. I also had a Flame Hawkfish that was really pretty but a bit more reclusive. I have read that hawkfish can be semi aggressive but mine never did anything.

Other than that I had the 2 clowns, a Pajama Cardinal and a YWG. But my vote goes to the Kole Tang. I plan on getting another once my 75 gallon is up and running.

I have a pseudochromis in the 75 with my clowns and they get along well. His job in the tank is to eat any and all shrimp I have.

diamond gobies are great to watch + they keep the sand sparkly white
watch out with the maroon clown though diamond gobies are fast but when the clown gets older.....
